Scholarship Workshop 2008 PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 02 October 2008

The annual scholarship workshop was held on 20 September 2008 at Hargreaves Hall. The workshop involves all Form 5 students with the following objectives:

  1. Expose students to various scholarship opportunities post SPM
  2. Awareness on the application procedures and various methods of assessment by different scholarship bodies
  3. Interview and writing techniques

The annual workshop is organised by the Counselling and Career Unit headed by Encik Ridzuan Yunus with the assistance of old boys who had gone through the process in the previous years. Apart from the sharing with the old boys, students participated in a variety of activities and mock interviews.

The scholarship workshop is a part of an integrated approach adopted by MCKK to prepare its students for the life after school – beginning with a Career Discovery Workshop for students at the beginning of the year, Career Test and is closed with a Scholarship Workshop for Form 5 students before they leave school.

Depending on necessity, another workshop with a more focused group of potential students is planned to be held in December 2008 in Kuala Lumpur.
